We Make Enhancement Affordable

As a BBL is a purely cosmetic procedure, it will not be covered by insurance. Since the operation includes various steps like liposuction, fat grafting, and fat transfer, patients often worry that the multi-step surgery will be too expensive for them.

To make our BBLs more affordable, we accept various financing options like CareCredit®, Prosper®, and United Medical®, allowing our patients to receive third-party financing or medical loans that let them pay for their body enhancement over time. Procedure Details

Anesthesia

We will begin your BBL by providing general anesthesia to eliminate all discomfort during surgery.

Incisions

Your surgeon will outline fat extraction sites with a surgical marker. They will then make small incisions (usually only a few millimeters in length), some of which can be hidden in the creases of the buttocks.

Injections

Your surgeon will then inject a special tumescent fluid to further numb the treatment area, minimize complications, and create swelling in your fatty tissue, making it easier to remove.

Liposuction

The next step is fat harvesting through liposuction. The fat is then purified to isolate the best fat cells. Limiting the fat transfer to only the healthiest cells reduces the amount of fat that will later be reabsorbed by your body.

Augmentation

The final step of surgery is the buttock augmentation itself, as our surgeons inject the purified fat into your buttocks. These injections will be placed at varying depths and locations to ensure the best possible shape and volume for your figure.

Recovery Following Your Surgery

One of our skilled plastic surgeons will provide highly detailed instructions on how to properly recover following your BBL. These guidelines will include:

Release & Recovery

You will be released to return home and recover the same day as your procedure. You will typically require two or more weeks off from work for recovery. Before leaving our Columbus office, our plastic surgeons will provide you with a specialized compression garment to help reduce swelling and to help your skin adjust to your new features. Most patients experience minimal pain; any discomfort can typically be controlled with pain medication. Every day, bruising, pain, and swelling should subside more and more.
Sitting Instructions

Following your BBL, you will not be able to sit for at least two weeks. In order to prevent your body from reabsorbing the fat, you will need to sleep and sit in adapted positions that reduce pressure on your buttocks, such as sleeping on your stomach. After we clear you to sit normally and sleep as you'd like, a “donut” seat or pillow should still be used to avoid putting excess pressure on your buttocks. Failure to follow this important step could result in discomfort and possibly compromise your cosmetic results.

Envision Your Picturesque Plastic Surgery Results

It is common to see initial BBL results immediately, with many patients feeling happy about their buttock augmentation and improved contours the first second they look in a mirror. It will take at least eight weeks for residual swelling to decrease and the full effects of your Brazilian butt lift to become apparent.

It is completely normal for some fat reabsorption to occur during recovery. The final results will be seen six months after surgery, when any fat reabsorption is complete. This means you'll enjoy the full results of your new body well within the first year after visiting our Columbus office.
